Since its founding in 1962, the Ravinia Women’s Board has dedicated itself to promoting Ravinia as one of Chicagoland’s premier cultural destinations.  This autonomous group of leaders not only exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism at the festival, but has also brought a business approach to fundraising and social programs.  The Women’s Board is the single biggest contributor to the not-for-profit festival.  From planning and presenting Ravinia’s Gala Benefit concert fundraiser, to running the in-park and online gift shops, to sponsoring the annual Poster Design Contest, to introducing the festival’s Reach Teach Play education programs, to writing and marketing Noteworthy and Noteworthy II, their best selling cookbooks, the Ravinia Women’s Board has a list of achievements that goes on and on.
