Since 1962 the Women’s Board has promoted Ravinia through a wide range of initiatives which include, each summer, a concert sponsorship opportunity.  The support of Ravinia concert sponsors helps bring performers to Ravinia and keep admission prices low.  This summer, the Women’s Board was proud to sponsor the August 13, 2017 Tribute to Ira Gershwin featuring vocalists Sylvia McNair, Ryan VanDenBoom and Leslie Kritzer, pianist Kevin Cole and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra directed by Emil de Cou.

To further celebrate the evening, Welz Kaufmann and the Ravinia Trustee Executive Committee hosted a dinner honoring the Women’s Board in Bennett Gordon Hall.  The festivities included a surprise appearance by the vocalists and conductor.
