In 2018, the Women’s Board celebrated the grand opening of the new Ravinia Festival Shop in the renovated Dining Pavilion north of the Martin Theatre.  The new Festival Shop is a larger replacement for the Ravinia Gifts store that opened in the Dining Pavilion in 2007 and joins the existing shop behind the Martin Theatre to offer signature Ravinia apparel, an extensive array of picnic accessories, jewelry, games and more to Ravinia patrons.

The opening brought together many of the women who helped to build the shop from its humble beginnings in 1972 as the Friendship Booth.  Former Women’s Board Chair Pat Sikorovsky joined in the celebration with former Ravinia Gifts Chair Susan Spears, who helped design the Martin Theater store in 1985.  Other former Ravinia Gifts Chairs in attendance included Bobbie Denison, Gloria Reisner, Jeanne Denison, Onnie Scheyer, Kathy Paleczny and Mary Alice Miller.
