On December 7, 2016, Women’s Board members and their guests gathered at the beautifully decorated Evanston Golf Club for a special holiday celebration planned by event Co-Chairs Elizabeth Karabatsos and Kelly Epstein.

Ravinia Gifts Co-Chairs Mary Alice Miller and Kathy Paleczny set up a pop up version of Ravinia Gifts allowing partygoers to get a jump on their holiday shopping.  Popular items included scarves and jewelry as well as decorative items for the home.  Anyone who purchased an item from the pop up store also received a ticket for a gift raffle.

In addition to delightful food, drink and shopping, attendees were treated to a performance by the Ravinia Jazz Scholars.  Christine Taylor, Ravinia’s REACH*TEACH*PLAY Director, gave some background on this exceptional program as well as the students and mentors who participate.  Before playing several selections for the party, each scholar introduced himself to the audience and identified the school he or she attends.  The audience was very appreciative of the outstanding performance.

At the end of the evening, partygoers departed in a festive mood ready for the upcoming holidays.
